So for those who don't know I'm hoping to in the future to have run a podcast channel similar to Revision3's business model. Anyways we are quickly on our way to have a few good shows. A few are in production and we are in talks with people to possibly start up some new shows in the near future. I am super excited about the newest show that just launched which is called Friday Knights Of The Round Table.

Here's an example of the kind of conversation that goes on in our car rides just listen to the depth and all the meaning. it just amazes me how every time we get into the car together as a family the conversation is so interesting, the amount I've learned just listening to people talk on car rides could never be learned in a school.

Side Note: Notice how freaking long sierra's qiks are. They're FOREVER!!!! why would someone record the conversation in a car for 10 minutes WHY?

The difference initially between the two candidates were 725 votes then 590 now its an even smaller gap of 238 votes!!!!!! This is one of the closest races, with this big of a population, I've ever heard of.

Gay "Marriage"

Thousands protest today outside of church buildings in Los Angeles due to the pass of proposition 8. This got me thinking and instead of just thinking this I decided I would write it down so if anyone asks my opinion on the matter I can just point to this blog post....and hopefully get them reading this...

Now the word marriage means a promise between 2 people and God. The problem with gay people becoming married is there is no God so you couldn't possibly be married. The word doesn't make sense by definition, I could consider myself a skydiver but if I've never actually jumped out of a plane the term doesn't really apply to me. Now I'm not just singling out gay people I'm also talking about non Christians as well they are making a promise to something that doesn't hold any validity to them so I would argue they are not married as well and it offends me just as much as say a gay person using the word married to mean someone they live with and like a lot.

People have tried to solve this problem by making civil unions but that just offends them more, they want to be considered married. This is a hard subject for me because to be honest I don't really care that they are unified by the state and they have some wedding like thing really I don't. Does making it illegal to be married make them live their lives the way God would want them to live? No. Does it bring them farther from the Kingdom if they are married to another person of the same sex instead of just practicing homosexual acts everyday? NO! Are they any lesser of people because they are gay? Of course not. I really don't mind if they have the same rights at all the problem is how do we give them "marriage" without destroying the Holiness of the word and without offending them and turning them even farther away from the Cross? Remember the whole reason why we as Christians are here is to bring others into the kingdom.

The best idea I could come up with was create a new word for the meaning of marriage. Now I know what many Christians will say about this argument. "We shouldn't have to change our views because of the world" "Thats retreating from the problem instead of standing and fighting what is wrong." My response to that would just be I don't think its homosexuals that are ruining the definition of marriage I think its heterosexual couples not living up to what marriage should be according to God. Its already been ruined by non Christians for many MANY years and now all of a sudden Gay people want to get married and its the most offensive thing they've ever heard(some Christians not all by any stretch of the imagination mind you). This is why I believe we should come up with another name for a union between man and women and God. Maybe use the Greek word γάμος or gamos to refer to 2 Christians uniting with them and God.

All just ideas and opinions of me, I know there are far more smarter people than myself thinking these things through and coming up with solutions but I just thought with all this mumbo jumbo with Prop. 8 passing that I should get my opinions out before I forgot them.

No one even ran for Mayor in the small town of Goodridge Minnesota. With a population of 98 people the two write ins were Bob Homme and former Mayor Dave Brown both receiving 44 votes. Instead of getting all the ballots and recounting them they have both agreed to settle it in a coin toss. Dave Brown finally ended up winning the coin toss with a heads and a tail (odds).

Polaroid Replacement is Finally Here

Everyone remembers Polaroids, the sepia tone coloring, the small size that all you could do was hang on your wall. Well its back and even smaller. Tomy has now made a camera in the spirit of the old Polaroids called the xiao with a zink printer built into it. The camera comes in a couple different colors and prints pictures EVEN SMALLER THAN BEFORE YAYYYYYYY!!!!! Now we can again have more worthless small pictures laying around in your top drawer of your cabinet. I for one can't wait for the experience again.

All that being said I really do think its a cool product I mock it but its amazing it has a printer that size built into it and has no ink whatsoever in the device, let me repeat that NO INK! I believe its digital too so you can plug it into your computer and upload pictures that way. Has a 5 megapixel camera and has a 2.48" full color LCD display on the back. What I've read is it'll be relatively cheap but no word yet on what the price will actually be.

This was the closest election I have ever seen(that being said I haven't been alive for that long). Look at the numbers between Sen. Norm Coleman and Talk Radio host Al Franken. I was first going to laugh about Franken throwing a fit about how they should recount but when its this close I don't blame him for asking for a recount.

Sen. Coleman said this..
"It's up to him whether such a step is worth the tax dollars it will take to conduct,"

The recount would cost 3 cents per ballot and roughly $90,000
Coleman had 1,211,642 votes, 41.99 percent
Franken had 1,211,167 votes, 41.98 percent

The recount wouldn't start until Nov. 19 and could stretch into December.

So I don't like talking about politics with people I don't like hearing people talk about politics and I try to not follow politics so I don't get angry. But I of course with these two campaigns going on how can I ignore it. Then I have every dumb channel on tv telling me to vote or die and I even singed into facebook, FACEBOOK!!! and they had some election thing countdown in case all the 12 year old kids forgot to tell their parents to go and vote today.
Anyways what I'm trying to say is I'm sorry, the one place I have control of content I put politics onto just like all the stupid websites and television stations do. I criticize and then I just end up doing it so I am sorry.

This is a video of Senator Oboma talking to a crowd in North Carolina. He, in this video, is talking about how politics are just rough, Washington plays a lot of games and Hillary looked right in her element playing those games in Washington. Then he raises his hand to "scratch his face" and makes a gesture with his middle finger. At first I watched this expecting it to be really stupid and not be anything. How many times have I scratched my face and made a gesture? Many times I'm sure. But this is different, he clearly stops talking after the gesture and laughs a little to himself and the crowd realizes that that scratch was no starch it indeed was a slam at Hillary.
I watched this in the early morning with the volume at mute and I thought the video was bad but no way was it him giving Hillary the finger but then I re-watched it with the volume up and my mind was changed if it wasn't on purpose then it just looks bad but take into account what he's talking about the "gotcha media" and how Hillary had her chance to take stabs at him. I just think it looks really really bad no matter what he meant by it.

***All this being said I really hate gotcha media and taking out sound bites and using peoples words out of context so if thats what I did here I apologize.

Last Few Days In Charleston

So the night Steve and myself went to go pick up Jordan from the airport there was massive flooding in Charleston. We had a hard time driving around it was nuts. We went to waffle house and the parking lot was completely flooded, this kid we met randomly there was standing in the middle of the water and at the deepest point it was up over his knees.
This is a video just of our street and we thought it was bad here and when we went out driving apparently it was pretty good compared to other places.

This next video is of me and steve playing in the water a bit (Side Note: Steve is wearing a jean vest and boxers)

Then this is the last video but we walked all around in Charleston and this is a video of us on top of the Wentworth Hotel/Mansion. Its really nice, very old and luxurious but they allow people to go up to the roof and look at the awesome view so this is a little video on the roof.

So kind of a funny story, our friend Matt is quasi dating the manager at the Music Farm (music venue in downtown Charleston) and he called us up asking if we wanted to go and see some crappy music like a disco band or something. We say sure because we love hanging out with Matt and we get there its not some crappy disco band its a Journey Tribute band and we were like wow this is freaking amazing!!!! THEN we found out it was the guitarist from JOURNEY!!!! oh man it was amazing here's a sample from outside because inside it was too much for the mic.

Fall Break

I know I haven't been updating the blog I've kind of been involved in some other projects that take a lot of attention so I'm sorry but hopefully I'll be able to keep up here. So Steve and myself went up to Hershey Penn from Charleston SC and it was a very long drive especially for a dog who throws up 3 times just going to burger king down the street. The drive was actually a lot better than we had thought it was pretty nice being able to switch and take a rest for a bit and Robby (our dog) was actually really good for the trip. It was nice seeing the family and celebrating Jordan's birthday and all and we of course were very sad we had to come back home, but I think the person who was the most depressed we had to return was Robby. In Hershey he had fields as far as the eye could see to go run and explore, he had all these people giving him a lot of attention, people feeding him food whenever he wanted it. He was super bummed when we had to return home. Anyways I qikked a few times of the trip and I thought you guys would be interested in some of the short vids I took. We tried to compare it to steve's fist in the video but it wasn't very close to the spider so I thought I would just tell you it was as big as my fist and it was disgusting. We found out it was a banana spider so go ahead and google search it its really disgusting.

Video Chatting

I've done video chatting before and it was pretty cool but I never really used it as a utility it was always something that was like woah cool I can see my friend. But now I'm pretty far away from my friends and using this is amazing. I actually get to see them and experience (somewhat) what its like to actually be in a conversation with them. Its really helping me cope with not really knowing too many people and missing home. Not to mention the amazing technology to do that, 15 years ago it was something from star trek or some sci fi movie and now its a reality and it came standard on my computer. Just think in the next 10 20 years what people are going to be using to communicate to one another. Being a nerd I am very excited and can't wait.

So last night myself and Steven where skateboarding home as shown in the video, and right after I recorded this video we saw a bunch of cop cars so I kept recording. Not quite sure what happened and we went to a cop and asked what happened and he said an "incident occurred." Which is funny like is it that crazy for you to just tell us what happened we live on the street? So they made us go around the long way to get home. But I had my phone out and I was qikking the whole thing. I was sooo pumped I got this cop being a butthead to us. So we got home and the thing was still uploading and so I waited for like 10-15 minutes and go to my qik account and it didn't upload I was sooooo depressed. Anyways I'm really starting to love this qik thing and its making me want the 3g version of my phone so I can stream stuff actually live and it'll be sooooo much faster. Well that was my adventure for last night.....oh and 7 people were murdered and one kid was kidnapped and they burnt down the family's house.

One thing is about down here in the deep south there are no really nice hiking trails. There are hiking trails but they aren't quite as pretty and fun as they are in New England. Now there are lot of things I like better about down here but hiking trails are not one of them. Moving Photographs

So about 2 years ago I had this hobby I did and I called it Moving Photographs. Its not very complex or original but I would just film really cool scenery around New England and pan around with the wind blowing and the idea was I was just taking pictures but extending it into a 30 second clip. Then I would cut the clips together and sync it up with some great classical music or ambient stuff and it was really beautiful to me. I don't really know if other people would get a kick out of it but I really enjoyed doing it. Hopefully when I can get some money here I can start up that hobby again and make some really cool scenes. I have so many of these little project that I want to do and I don't know if its even possible to accomplish all I want to but I guess its good to have ambitions and always coming up with new ideas so.

Anyways here is the first "Moving Photograph" I saw and it inspired me to try to make my own(of course mine was nowhere near as good and I didn't write my own music for the video). Anyways Enjoy and if you like him check out his other videos just search Takagi Masakatsu on youtube.

Free WiFi

So around Charleston there are alot of places that have open wifi access and it is seriously the greatest thing for nerds like me. Places that I would never even think about going into have free wifi signs and I'll at least go in and bu a drink or something. Its a great idea because it gets people in the door even if its only a select few that actually take advantage of it its worth it. I'll become comfortable there and then come back buy something else maybe bring some friends there its just an excellent thing for me as a consumer and as a business. Happy customers=More business.

Little side note its awesome because we don't have internet at the house so I can still get my daily dose of useless internet knowledge without paying. Its great!!!

So we finally got the house packed up and hit the road. After 2 weeks of running around packing and stuff I'm sure glad its over. We left 2 days ago and now we are in PA visiting my aunts house then we leave Friday to head down to North Carolina. I really am a homebody and could live in the same house for the rest of my life so this is pretty hard for me not having a home base for 3 months or so. I am glad so many places have wifi nowadays so I can at least keep up with friends and if i can't get on my comp I can use my iphone. I guess I'm really not that bad off I just wish I could stop living in this limbo and get on with my life.

Hiking

Whenever people said they liked hiking I never really understood why someone would like walking through the woods.....to just walk. Even thinking about it now that doesn't sound fun to me, but recently I've been going on these photography adventures which usually requires some trudging through the woods and hills and what not. So I've realized today hey maybe I do like hiking because I really LOVE walking through God's creation seeing his workings in everything. As I've said before thats my form of worship photography. I can make beautiful art out of the beauty God has already put down for us. really I'm not expressing anything I'm just capturing the beauty of the world in which God has given to us.
Today I'm not quite sure where I parked but i know it was in Connecticut somewhere and I did the iphone google maps thing to see where I was then when I stopped I looked at it again and I had walked 5 or 6 miles. I had jeans and was carrying my camera bag and a freaking heavy duty tripod and i still had a great time. I didn't get really any good shots of anything but I did enjoy nature. I'll post up a pic of one of my walks probably not from today because they all were pretty bad but something else interesting.
Anyways the point I'm making is I discovered I like hiking now and I think I'll do it alot more from now on(I wont tell anyone though) and not focus so much on photography and getting the perfect shot but just having a great time being outside and listening to the wonderful sounds.

Watching Enchanted with Jordan and so far its pretty good I always enjoy fun clean family films. This is the first movie I've rented on tv and it was a pretty sweet experience. I was alittle bummed because i originally rented it on Jordan's computer but for some reason couldn't get it to sync with the tv. Anyways its a pretty fun film I would definitely recommend it.

Went On A Nice Little Drive

So I've been trying to get better at photography I really enjoy it. It really is an outlet for me, it helps get my mind off of all the things that in retrospect don't matter at all. It really is a way of worship for me, I go and am just out in God's creation seeing all the beauty he has given to us.
What I do is just drive. I go and get lost up in northern Connecticut and try to find my way home and as I'm driving I see cool shots along the way and go take them. It started when i got my motorcycle I would go on these cruises for hours upon hours and just love being outdorrs smelling the smells and driving through all the winding roads. I am really in love with Connecticut I sure am going to miss it when I'm down south.

Re introduction

So it's been almost a year since my last post but hopefully I'll get my motivation up and update this regularly for the next couple of months because my life is going to be pretty crazy. I'm heading down to Charleston SC pretty soon and by the end of the month I'm leaving CT to help my parents move to Penn and live with them for a couple of months.
I'm bumming pretty hard though I had some pretty solid friends here in CT and I'm definitely going to be missing them but hopefully I wont be gone too long and it would be sweet to have everyone come visit me. I hope to have video updates of everything thats going on so stay tuned.....that one dude who checked my blog out that one time and hasn't returned since.

Where Do I Turn Next?

So I'm am so lost in my life, I have no idea what i want to do, I don't know where I want to go. Everyday i think "This'll be the day I figure out my life" and I never do. I go and try to listen to God and try to know what he wants me to do with my life but I can't. Is it possible that He just wants me to sit around in my parents basement? I don't know but im starting to get frustrated being so lost and God isn't telling me where he wants me. Please Lord can you just let me know what you want me to do? If you let me know then i can start moving in that direction with full intentions to do it unflinchingly.

Harry's First Time On A Broom

So for those of you who don't know me I recently bought a motorcycle. It's an old one, 1980 Kawasaki LTD 440. So it's not very big or powerful but I'm in love with it. Everyday I can't wait to get off of work so I can go home and ride it. I love cruising along with my hair blowing in the wind on a hot day, you can smell all the smells and feel the warmth against your face. I know i sound really stupid but this is really my favorite thing to do. I just got back from a 2 hour ride and it was wonderful. I drove on all back roads up state and there were no other cars. It's starting to get really warm and its making me so very happy. I love going under trees hearing birds chirping and feeling the wind blow.
Today while I was driving along a freaking fat bumble bee hit me right on my sunglasses it was petty funny. I'm just thankful it did hit me in the glasses if it hadn't it would have freaking hurt a lot. But the bee was certainly dead and I had to clean the sunglasses thoroughly at the next stop sign. Other than that I had a wonderful time. The best is just driving in a direction and getting lost then trying to find your way back to civilization. Thats what happened to me today and it was so much fun. Every time I ride this thing i feel like the first time Harry rode on his broom.

Hello everyone, so this is my blog. I finally started one of these things the kids are always talking about, a blog. This really isn't for anyone else it's mostly for me but I would like hearing if someone enjoys reading my thought on life.
